This is the music video I made in my 10th grade Multimedia Applications class. I tried to focus more on accompanying the clips with the beats of the music rather than just having transitions. I thought that it would seem more purposeful this way rather than a photo montage with some music behind it. I ultimately tried to make a video that the eight graders would like to look back on years later and remember some of their final middle school years. I tried to get as many people in the video as possible so that it was relatable to most, if not all, of the class rather than a select few.
I’m probably most proud of the part of the song that sings, “I’m happy, happy at home” and I found clips of people smiling and being happy. I also am proud of the end when the rhythm section of the music is boomerang-like and I found clips that mirror that. If I did the project again, and had all the time and clips in the world, I would focus more on getting clips in time with the rhythm in a more exact way. I did end up liking this project a lot more than I thought I would and enjoyed doing it to the music.
